The chip embedded in the passport contains digital information that can be accessed by authorized immigration officials using specialized machines. It is designed to enhance security and make passport authentication more efficient. Learn more about e-passport at - www.epassport.gov.bd.

What is No Visa Required (NVR) Endorsement?

The "No Visa Required (NVR) for Travel to Bangladesh" endorsement is a facility for foreign citizens of Bangladeshi origin (excluding SAARC country nationals) and their foreign-born spouses and children. This endorsement, placed in their foreign passports, allows them multiple entries into Bangladesh and permits an unlimited stay within the validity of the passport. It simplifies travel for the Bangladeshi diaspora, enabling them to visit family, conduct business, or reconnect with their cultural roots without the need for obtaining a visa for each entry. To acquire this privilege, eligible individuals must apply through a Bangladeshi embassy or consulate with proof of their Bangladeshi heritage. The NVR endorsement significantly eases the process of maintaining familial and business connections with Bangladesh.
