Umrah and Hajj Visas

Umrah and Hajj visas (pilgrimage) are specific types of visas issued by the government of Saudi Arabia for individuals who wish to travel to Saudi Arabia for the purpose of performing Umrah or Hajj, which are religious pilgrimages in Islam. Both Umrah and Hajj visas are typically issued through authorized travel agencies designated by the Saudi Arabian government. The requirements and procedures for obtaining these visas may vary.

Umrah Visa

A Saudi Arabia work visa is issued to foreign nationals employed in the Kingdom, requiring sponsorship from a Saudi employer. The application process necessitates a valid passport, employment contract, academic qualifications, plus medical and police clearance. A pre-arrival medical exam is mandatory. The visa duration usually matches the employment term and is renewable. On arrival, obtaining an Iqama (residency permit) is essential. The visa is specific to the job and the employer, not transferable without legal steps. Dependents can join the visa holder in Saudi Arabia under a family visa.

Residence (Iqama) Visa

The Residence (Iqama) Visa in Saudi Arabia is a permit for expatriates to reside and work in the Kingdom. Issued after entering with a work visa, it requires employer sponsorship and is renewable annually. The Iqama allows holders to open bank accounts, obtain driving licenses, and conduct other legal transactions. It's tied to the specific employer and job, with family members eligible to join under a dependent's visa.
