Bangladeshi E-Passports
Bangladesh has introduced an e-passport or electronic passport. Demographic and biometric information, such as fingerprints of all ten fingers, facial images, the iris scan of both eyes, and personal data of the e-passport holder are stored on the chip inside the e-passport. The chip embedded in the passport contains digital information that can be accessed by authorized immigration officials using specialized machines. It is designed to enhance security and make passport authentication more efficient. Learn more about e-passport at - www.epassport.gov.bd.
What is No Visa Required (NVR) Endorsement?
Bangladesh-origin foreign citizens (except SAARC countries) and their foreign-born family members (spouse and children) are eligible for endorsement of "No Visa Required (NVR) for Travel to Bangladesh" in their foreign passports.
